This is the second volume of painting works by Yoshiyasu Tamura, an artist who began his career as a manga creator serialized in Monthly Shonen Jump, Shueisha and is now active primarily as a painter based in Europe.
Published by KYAS ART SALON (Amsterdam, Netherlands), this substantial art book features 88 full-color pages in a large A4 format. Meticulous color proofing ensures rich and accurate reproductions, while the PUR binding allows the book to open smoothly and lie comfortably flat.
This volume presents Tamura’s major painting works created between 2014 and 2022, carefully selected so that there is no overlap with Volume I. His distinctive practice—bridging manga culture and contemporary painting—continues to evolve with greater depth and experimentation.
The book opens with an essay by Yuji Yamashita, art historian and Professor at Meiji Gakuin University, followed by an artist’s statement by Yoshiyasu Tamura himself, offering valuable insight into the conceptual and historical context of the works.
